Our Story

We started out as a church plant from a church in Hayden Lake, Idaho. Pastor Carl Hampsch (seen in photo) started this church in 1995 and we have been through a lot of changes, but our love for Jesus Christ and our dedication to His Word has not and will not change. Our church has met in a bank, a school, and then a barn before we were blessed with our current property and  building.

In 2018 we underwent another wonderful change when we merged with Lakeside Community Church from Liberty Lake.  We currently have three pastors, Senior Pastor Scott Simon,   Youth/Associate Pastor Chase Bolster, and Associate Pastor Dennis Gross. We are now stronger than ever and focused on activating change in our local and global community of fellow believers.

We believe that we need each other in order to have a meaningful impact in our community and on the world. We want you to be a part of our story.  There is a place for you here at Lakes, so whenever you feel ready to jump in and volunteer please  contact our office or talk to one of our leaders on a Sunday morning. 

Our focus is spreading the knowledge and love of Christ Jesus. We accomplish this by reaching out into our local community and also by reaching out into the global community of believers. We are a missions focused church. We aid in missions around the world spiritually, physically, and financially. 

We are headed down the same path that we started on. We are seeking to save the lost and to grow in our own relationship with God.  We are working towards being a cornerstone of the community. We want to be known as a place that people can safely turn to when they need help, when they want change, and when they discover their need for God.  We are headed towards impactful relationships.
