Seek Week,  is a special time at the beginning of each year when we call upon the church to seek the Lord in our lives corporately. While we can all personally seek the Lord at any time, the church has set aside four special nights in the first full week of January 2025 (Jan 6-12). Each of these nights will include a one-hour meeting at the church where we will come together in unity with praise, prayer, and in one accord seeking the Lord for Lakes Community Church. Each day of Seek Week will have a special theme, The unscheduled "at home" nights (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday) will be for personal or family devotion as the Lord leads each of you.

Seeking God is a foundational biblical principle. The Lord Jesus Himself commanded us to seek Him first before making requests for our earthly needs (Matt. 6:33). Therefore, as believers, we must put God first and make Him and His will our foremost desire in life. This is why we should pray like Jesus did before He went to the cross, “Nevertheless not My will but Yours, be done,” (Luke 22:42).

We encourage you to join us Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday nights and use this  booklet (SEE OUR APP, DOWNLOAD ON THIS PAGE, OR PICK UP A PHYSICAL COPY AT CHURCH) to guide and direct your prayers each day of Seek Week. This can be done while you are at home, work, or school or joining us for the corporate nights of seeking God together. Finally, as we Seek the Lord this week, let us remember the words of the Apostle Paul:
"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ," (Col. 3:23-24).
